Over the last 2 weeks...

Ok so here we are in the middle of week 15 and doing good! We had to time with Josh in Texas last week, which  was awesome! Can't wait until he is back in AZ! I drove over there with him and then flew home after spending a few days. And although I usually do great on flights, I did have to use that special bag I got so sick! Also got to see my family at a wonderful graduation party for my beautiful cousin, Karli and threw a baby shower for my  absolutely wonderful cousin Becky! Not to mention see the nephews for just a little bit! Oh, and lets not forget the ZZ Top concert! So busy, busy and I am definitely paying for it now; so sleepy! But well worth it! :)

  1. Your baby can now squint, frown, and grimace. Thanks to brain impulses, the facial muscles are getting a workout as baby’s tiny features form one expression after another.

  1. The baby’s body is growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck.

  1. By the end of this week, baby’s arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of the body.

  1. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and baby’s spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells.

  1. Baby is more fluid-like in his movements, no longer doing the jerk every time baby repositions arms and legs.

  1. Another development this week includes a roof of the mouth.

  1.  Baby’s intestines are producing meconium (which is the waste that will make up the first bowel movement after birth).

  1. You might find yourself feeling pregnancy aches on the lower sides of your abdomen about now as the muscles and ligaments that support your growing uterus stretch and organ’s move to make room. And though it might be a pain in the — well, lower abdomen — it's pain with a gain and a sign that it won't be long now until your body finally starts to show that you're expecting.

  1. Your baby now has fingerprints! Believe it or not, baby actually created them while swimming around in the amniotic fluid. As baby moved his/her hands, the skin on the tips of the fingers formed unique ridges and folds. That's why no one on earth has the same fingerprints, not even identical twins!

  1. Your baby is beginning to grow eyebrows and eyelashes this week. Along with the hair on the baby’s head.

  1. Although baby's eyes are sealed shut, he/she is now able to sense light.

  1. Over the next month, baby will grow faster than ever, so make sure you load up on enough nutritious food and fluids to support his growth. Your baby now measures nearly 4 inches

  1. Baby is busy moving amniotic fluid through nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in the lungs begin to develop

  1. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but is forming taste buds already.

  1. You might be coping with a chronic stuffy nose or even nosebleeds during pregnancy, also brought on by progesterone surging through your system. Fear not — it'll all pass. No bloody nose, but stuffy, yes!

** 17 days, until I go to the doctor again! And only 20 days, until My Hubby gets home :) Hopefully Daddy will get to come with me to the next ultrasound at 20 weeks!
